The Podaxis pistillaris (desert shaggy mane) mushroom that we used for our liquid culture was obtained off the side of interstate 8 in California near the imperial sand dunes on 9/10/23. The picture for this listing shows one of the mushrooms we used for the culture. The entire fruiting body was collected and brought back to our lab where we used a sterile swab to obtain spore samples to cultivate on agar. After achieving mycelial growth we transferred to a new plate of agar that was used to inoculate our liquid culture with. This mushroom culture has been tested on 3 pound milo grain bags and is achieving full colonization in around 30 days at 78f.
Each syringe is 20CC luer lock and will come with a 16 gauge needle.
